30 years after its creation, FOLAN is now a major player in the field of network, data and telecom infrastructure development. Our skills include design, as well as manufacturing of passive components indispensable to deploy tomorrow’s networks.
30 YEARS OF EXPERTISE
Since 1988, FOLAN designs and manufactures interconnection solutions through optical fiber. At the same time as we developed, we structured our activities around 3 production units. Two of them are established in Europe: the first one is located in the company’s premises near Lyon and handles small series and tailor-made production; the second one is established in Romania and ensures great reactivity and delivery adaptability. FOLAN also has a production center in China, allowing us to offer a productive capacity compatible with large and very large series, and with attractive prices.
After having conquered the French market, our company is increasing its presence across Europe and Africa, since these territories are currently experiencing a great digital transformation.
Armed with our technical mastery of optical fiber technologies and our market knowledge, we successfully developed a full range of innovative products. With more than 4.000 references as well as tailor-made products, developed by our own design department established in our factory in France, we are really proud to play a role in strengthening the competitiveness and attractiveness of territories, in France but also internationally.
OUR AMBITION FOR THE NEXT 30 YEARS
After all these years, our ambition keeps increasing. Like the telecommunications industry, which is constantly changing to adjust to new digital uses, FOLAN is ready to reinvent itself to remain an innovative and reliable partner for its customers.
Stakes are high, especially in France. We are working alongside with the « Plan France Très Haut Débit » organization as well as the territorial authorities in order to offer solutions tailored for tomorrow’s needs.
AN OPEN CELEBRATION
Next October, we will invite you, our regular customers and new partners from the telecommunications industry, to celebrate our 30th anniversary during an exceptional day. This meeting will be a good opportunity to remember our history, but also to invent the continuation of the FOLAN adventure. This convivial event will also allow all of us to start planning the future of the optical fiber industry.
We will have many surprises for you. Among them, the exclusive discovery of our new premises located in Rillieux-la-Pape, north-east of the city of Lyon, with more than 10.000 square meters.
