FOLAN, a key player in Very High Speed Broadband

In the run-up to the FTTH Conference to be held in Madrid from 18 to 20 April 2023, FOLAN reaffirms in a video its commitment to support the deployment of Very High Speed Broadband in Europe.

Teleworking, remote medical consultation, video calls… The health crisis has changed usage and revealed the need for an efficient Internet connection.

This is what is at stake in the deployment of fibre optics and the France Très Haut Débit plan launched in 2013 by the French government for local authorities. Its objective is to cover the entire country with very high-speed broadband – i.e. a connection of more than 30 megabits per second – by 2025.

Adrien Dendleux, product manager at FOLAN, shares in a video the role played by FOLAN in the deployment of optical fiber within the territories.

The development of fibre optics in the territories has already enabled :

  • to reduce telecom costs by 30% thanks to the emergence of local operators and the arrival of national players,
  • to develop local employment,
  • to develop local employment,
  • to bridge the digital divide,
  • and to restore the economic attractiveness of the territories.

FOLAN supports the deployment of Very High Speed Internet with the development of products adapted to the needs of the market and the customers. As a designer and manufacturer, we have made with our design office the Niagara multi-shelf drawer within the framework of a specific project with one of our customers. This product was able to meet the wider needs of the market and has now been integrated into our FTTH catalogue. This is just one example of FOLAN’s commitment to participate in the digital transformation of territories and the development of the local economy.
